Curly Hair part 2

Curly Long Bob Hair

Last week we looked at some of the styles that can be worn by those with curly hair, the idea behind these two pieces is to promote the natural beauty and appeal that comes with curly hair. It is no longer about what straightening techniques should come into play, or what hair devices can be implemented to tame these untamable curls, it is about embracing it, and loving it… and of course, showing it off.

The Long-Bob (or Lob), is by no means only for someone with straight hair. Women with curly hair tend to shy away from shorter cuts because they think they need to length to give them weight, this isn’t always the case. A wedge cut Lob means that the hair will be shorter at the back with longer layers at the front, which means that the curls at the front of your face won’t stay only there but will blend in with the rest of the hair.

There are even those cuts that can be tweaked and adjusted for curly hair; the Pixie cut for instance. For this one you want a cut that is pixie inspired but not quite so tight around the head. Leave some length on top and around the ears to show of the texture of your curls. Cutting your hair this short can be a little daunting, only someone who is truly comfortable with themselves and their curls should head for something in this direction. But it is worth it, honestly, it is one of the most refreshing and elegant styles on a women, and it seems that the short length seems to accentuate femininity rather than take away from it.

Finally, if you are looking to keep your length and let those curls bounce and flow, opt for something like Sheer Layers. In order to get this look speak to your hairdresser about giving you long layers that are cut using the slide-cutting method, this means that that layers will cascade down the length of your hair, and give your curls different levels of bounce.

Like every single person who has hair, it is not only for those with the curly locks, there is something known as frizz. We don’t like, we never will, it always ends up making us look like we’ve just come out of a car wash. So if you are looking to keep something like this under control then use a good and safe anti-frizz hair conditioner that will keep your hair healthy and frizz freeee! The Paul Mitchel The Cream Leave-In Treatment is perfect for this this.
